Privacy Policy

Drive Link adds rate-per-mile calculations, broker email, map routing, copy actions and optional broker factoring grades to DAT One and Truckstop. This policy covers the extension and its informational website. The separate dispatch-service contact form is not part of the extension.

Google account information and Gmail

When you connect Gmail, Drive Link requests your Google account email address (userinfo.email) and permission to send email on your behalf (gmail.send). It uses your email address to display the connected account and identify the sender, and an OAuth access token to authorize requests to Google. Drive Link does not receive your Google password and cannot read your inbox with these permissions.

When you click an Email or other send control, the extension sends the selected recipient, subject and message directly to Google's Gmail API. The message contains the load information and the template, signature and other details you configured. The broker you choose receives the message. Drive Link does not send email automatically.

Your connected email address, a sign-in address hint, and OAuth session are stored in Chrome local storage on your device. Access tokens expire according to Google's response, usually after about one hour; expired sessions are not used for sending. The extension can request a replacement token from Google while you remain connected. Drive Link's credit server does not receive your Google access token, account email or Gmail message content.

Limited Use of Google data

Drive Link's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide the account connection and user-initiated email features described here. It is not sold, used for advertising, used to build user profiles, or used to train generalized artificial intelligence models. Drive Link does not make Google user data available to its staff through a central mailbox or account-data database.

Load-board information and settings

The extension reads supported content in your open load-board tabs, including lanes, mileage, rates, broker names, contact details and MC numbers. It uses this content for calculations, email templates, copy actions, map routing and broker grade requests. It does not collect your general browsing history.

Settings such as your email template, signature, MC number, truck origin, RPM threshold and Checking preference are stored in Chrome sync storage and may synchronize through your Chrome profile. Recent send records, including recipient, lane, rate and delivery status, are stored locally to display activity and prevent duplicate sends. These records have a 24-hour active lifetime; expired records are ignored and cleaned during subsequent extension activity rather than by a guaranteed background deletion deadline.

Copy actions write the selected load summary to your clipboard. Drive Link does not read your clipboard contents.

Broker factoring grades

When Checking is enabled, opening supported load details sends the broker's MC number to the Drive Link credit service at credit.drivelinkdispatch.com. This service obtains available RTS broker grades and caches broker information for repeated lookups. Ordinary extension users do not supply RTS credentials. Checking is enabled by default for new installs and can be turned off in Settings.

The credit gateway receives your IP address and uses it for request-rate limits. Its rate-limit state is held in memory, with inactive entries eligible for cleanup after a day. Our hosting and network providers also process request information needed to deliver and protect the service. Broker grades may remain cached centrally until they expire, are refreshed or are removed; the cache is broker information, not a Google account record. Local timestamped grades are treated as stale after at most 24 hours, and missing or undated results are checked sooner. Grades can be missing or outdated and are not a payment guarantee.

Maps and third-party services

Route results and geocoding data may be cached in extension memory to reduce repeat requests. Third-party providers process requests under their own privacy policies. Drive Link does not include advertising or analytics SDKs in the extension or this informational website.

Security, retention and deletion

Google authorization and public service requests use HTTPS. OAuth tokens are stored in extension storage rather than exposed to load-board page scripts. Anyone with sufficient access to your device or Chrome profile may still be able to access local data; keep that profile and device protected.

We keep information provided directly for support only as needed to address the request and maintain necessary business or legal records. Technical service providers may retain security and operational logs under their own retention practices.

Children and policy updates

Drive Link is intended for professional freight dispatchers and is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy when the extension or its data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
